Hello My Name Is...
I have been a teacher in the Mount Pleasant school district for the past 4 years.
During this time I have taught 5th grade, was the math coach for the district, and am currently in my third year as 6th grade STEM teacher. I also met my wife, Kelly, became the father to a puppy named Wishbone and kitty named Pepper. In my class you will receive a great education and benefit from my knowledge of the world. I want to expand your mind away from the small community in which we live and look in-depth at the global community which we are all apart of.
Besides teaching, I love to travel. I spent the summer of 2009 traveling around western Europe, 14 countries in 36 days. During these travels I spend my time visiting the many famous cities, monuments, and landmarks these countries had to offer as well as just experiencing the many different cultures. The following summer I hit the road again, this time traveling around the United States from coast to coast with my wife and puppy. We ended up traveling 8,000 miles in 24 days!
I also love sports. I play indoor soccer and softball weekly and once a year I play in a baseball tournament at the spring training facilities in Arizona. The San Jose Sharks are my team, as anyone that has seen my classroom can tell you. Hockey season spans almost the entire academic year and I encourage my students to find something they love to keep themselves sane during a grueling school year.
Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me and I hope we have a great school year!
